Cylinder liner for DAF 825DH

The cylinder liner with part number 257340 is a component for the DAF 825DH diesel engine. This cylindrical sleeve is inserted into the engine block to provide a sliding surface for the piston and its rings. It serves as a barrier that protects the engine block from direct contact with the moving piston while facilitating heat transfer from the combustion chamber to the cooling system.

This component is compatible with the DAF 825DH engine. The actual manufacturer of this part is MAGRUMAPE. It is designed to maintain the integrity of the combustion chamber and support the compression levels required for engine operation.

In internal combustion engines, cylinder liners are used to define the cylinder bore and manage the friction generated by the reciprocating motion of the piston. They are critical for maintaining effective sealing of the combustion gases and managing the thermal loads during the power stroke.
